  • The baptismal record of the First Reformed Church of Lancaster city, which was founded in 1731, contains the names of a large number of Huguenot parents, and it is known that Rev. Charles Lewis Boehm, who was pastor of the church from 1771 to 1775, sometimes preached in the French language, which presupposes a considerable number of French speaking parishioners. (3) From the church records we extract the following names of Huguenot fathers and the earliest entry of children for baptism: Nicholas Dello, 1773

The names of Dellow and Dillow in Adams County altered through the years. In the eastern part of Adams County, the name became Delone and Dellone; it can still be found in that area. In the western part of the county, in Franklin and Menallen Townships, it was altered to Dillon. A few of the Dellones in Adams county became rather wealthy and prominent citizens during the 1800s, then traces of the families trickled out. The York County Historical Society has vast amounts of data on the lives of Dellones who lived in both York and Adams counties during the 1800s.
